May letters

All of my baby quilt letters are done now! About to sew the quilt top together.

Musical notes for a musical mum and hopefully musical baby!

Here are the last of my imaginary cat breeds.  I re-did D and N.  Thank-you, Gemma, for your suggestion on pen angle.  It made all the difference.  U is Ulster for long heavy coat. V is Vulpinese meaning fox like.  W is Whidding for nimble and silent.  Xeric is next for of the desert.  Yalaghan cats have saber like claws. Zibeline cats have soft lustrous coats.  Dhurrie means thick flat coat and Nainsook is a very soft coat the color of muslin.  My "place" is our cat shelter and over the years we have had cats of every description.  Now I will be on the look out for these special ones!  Thanks for looking.   Anita

 I've compiled my alphabet created from maps into this accordion fold book. The book measures 11cms x 11cms.

Je triche un peu car certaines fleurs n'ont pas encore refleuri, mais elles existent bien dans mon jardin.

I cheat a little because few flowers have not blossomed again yet, but they exist well in my garden.

Il y a quelques jours l'oranger en était couvert, ils étaient tous plus beaux les uns que les autres !

A few days ago the orange tree was covered with it, they were all more beautiful some than the others!

Z pour ZELKOVA ou orme de Sibérie.

Il me manque toujours le "x", que ce soit en français ou en latin, peut-être en anglais ?

lettres pour avril

June Letters

 I am going sailing so have been busy and created my June letters , N, X, J & O. Some are not quite square but I am enjoying the torn, transparent look.

May Letters

 I, C, E & A. My letters have evolved to be more transparent, making better use of the lovely stained teabag paper. I would like to display them in a way to highlight this transparency.

Time is running away from me!

 Y is for Yellow. U is for Underwater.

This completes my " Place" alphabet. I apologise that they are out of order, don't quite know how that happened. I have really enjoyed taking the photographs it made me look at my city from a different point of view.
I am intending to make them into a star book bound on to carbon rods, the idea is there I now just have to execute it!

Here are the final letters for 'Place '  Am now working on the free letters for alphabet number 2. This has changed somewhat from my original idea, which was to do 26 miniatures to match these letters!!! (I'll still do that, but somewhere in the future, and then the two sets will sit side by side. on Jacob's ladders,  in a specially made box. )
