I have decided to add color to my letter patterns. I am still not sure how I will present them. A conundrum. These letters are clockwise J, K, M, N, O, P.

I am currently taking classes in pattern making so I thought it would be fun to do my anything goes alphabet as patterns. I think letterforms are the perfect vehicle for pattern making.

Q,R S and T
Here are my next four letters, Q, R, S and T .
I have to cheat a bit for Q. I am using the "K" sound and the illustration is a kadomatsu - a new year decoration.
R is for ryuu - a dragon.
S - sake a rice based alcoholic drink, not so popular as it used to be. Beer is perhaps more popular
T is taiko, a drum. There a lots of different sizes, my favourites are the huge ones.

November Letters
I'm getting back into the swing of things now. Here are the four November letters for my Japanese theme alphabet (or am I still a bit behind? Somehow it doesn't seem to add up... I still have 10 more to go!)
M - Manekineko - a beckoning cat with one paw raised in a welcoming pose calling for good fortune.
N - Noren, a sign curtain or short cloth hung at the entrance of a shop or restaurant .
O - Oni - a demon with horns and large bulging eyes
P - Pachinko - a Japanese pinball game.

JGR Letters for November
Hi everyone, I hope all is well with you. Things here are getting chilly.
Fall is in the air and I love it!
Here are eight more letters from my second alphabet.
I tried to mix it up with various color schemes,
high and low contrast values in the backgrounds
and some patchy expressive marks
along with a few subtle textures. Some letterforms are easy to make out
some require more effort.
Thank you for visiting, have a great day!

Sabi's Place Alphabet - India Part 3
These are my contributions for October and November.
Not only are some of the letters wonky but they are also upside down - I think I'll just describe it as artistic licence....
Hopefully all the letters will be assembled by the time the last ones are posted. Already I'm looking forward to next year's challenge!
